Empires one day, Ashes the next.

I was going to post this a long time ago. I've already predicted this would happen (two years ago). Mr. Greenspan and I need to have a talk, because If he didn't see this one coming...there has got to be a problem.

Gas prices are beyond out of whack. $4.00 a gallon? What bitch? Wha'chu mean gas is fo' dolla' fo' a gallund of gas?

Since Mr. Bush's initial election, I've been making predictions. People thought I was stupid, overboard, and enjoyed a good consipracy. But, now...they can't say a thing.

My first prediction was pre-election. I told my mother: "Mom, if Bush gets elected...we're going to war. I don't know how, I don't know why...but I just know it." I was 14 years old. She simply nodded her head in agreement.

A year later, I was sitting in lunch with erin, joe, will, darryl, and danielle...and whaddya know? The world trade centers were falling. I remember joe putting his head on my shoulder, as if he were watching fireworks. I remember that he was the only person who found it funny. I didn't think it was funny...but I wasn't surprised.
Merely an hour later, in my English 1 honors class, I was having a discussion about it with my teacher, Mrs. Sauble. I said to her: "I know they're gonna blame this all on Iraq." She simply told me that they would attack the Taliban instead.
I barely even knew who the Taliban was, but I knew who Iraq was (from the time I was 9 years old, when my unkle and I had a political conversation (my very first) about Clinton's bombings of Iraq at the Burger King drive thru on Manatee Avenue. I knew enough to know what I believed.
Six months later, voila!, Kofi Annan is begging Bush to stay out of Iraq, as he had searched for "weapons of mass destruction," and was positive there were none. Bush perused anyway (and eventually did a lot more than that). Where are those weapons, Bushiepoo? Cause, I'd really love to know.

My next prediction was that George let this all happen. He knew the World Trade Center was going to blow. He knew for a long fucking time, way long enough to prepare for it. Why was he in an elementary school for 15 minutes, after being briefed about hi-jacked planes in New York City and Washington D.C airspace? Anything within an hour of Capitol Hill's airspace is an incredible concern. Why the hell did he just sit there, reading a book? He says it's cause he "didn't want to scare the children."
And then, why did he tell the newspaper he knew about the situation, and tell another that the whole time he was watching the clip, he was telling himself "what a bad pilot," this guy must have been...after speaking with the first?
I don't care what anyone says. That is the biggest cock and bull story to ever exist. George Bush let it fucking happen so he could have substantiation and access to the Middle Eastern oil supply. It was the easiest thing in the world for him. All he had to do was sit back and watch. Almost 4,000 people died...and he watched!
Two years ago, I predicted it. Now, there is a congressional hearing on it.

Will Bush be caught? Most likely not.

Is it probably true? Hell...congress seems to think so.

My last and final prediction came in between the 2nd and 3rd. Not only economic inflation...but economic and social destruction.
America's economy and society is fucked.
I've changed all my savings into euro. We are headed for a major breakdown. Get ready, guys.
Empires one day, Ashes the next.
I can't help but wonder...
Where will you be when it happens?

Forever yours,

Jessica

Rome had a longer time to mess things up.

Here in America, for some reason. People don't like to admit when they are wrong.
Everyone who was pro-Bush in 2000, has to be pro-Bush now...in order not to look bad; Even though he is screwing our economy, our society, and how we are looked upon by the rest of the world.

This is very much like Rome. This is very real. And, people are ignoring it. What a bunch of douche bags...

(yay for overly-serious comments,)
